Academics
We know academics are important- learning is the reason we all came to St Thomas in the first place!
Although social and philanthropic activities are what draws many people to joining a club or society, it is important that we all remember that schooling is part of that balance too. Don't worry though, because as a Pi Alpha Gamma sister you will never be without a study buddy!
Our Sisters take pride in their academic accomplishments and many have been awarded scholarships, such as Founding Mothers Elizabeth (President's Scholarship) and Founding Mother Katelyn (St Thomas Scholars Award and Katherine L Roderick Award). In 2014, all of our graduating sisters did so with distinction in their programs. Our Alumnae have gone on to post graduate studies in Social Work and Law.
To help ensure academic excellence in our Sisters, Pi Alpha Gamma has a minimum GPA requirement that all members must meet to be considered in good standing with the Chapter, GPA 2.0. Should any Sister fail to meet that requirement, the Member will be placed on Academic Probation and the Academic Chair and other Members will work with them to help them reach their academic goals!
